LACEY POND - 1990

I enjoyed taking my boys to the Mill Creek city-wide garage sale when they were young. While looking through a sale, a photographer was selling his photos. He gave me permission to use his pictures for paintings, and this was a picture he took of a pond in Lacey, Washington where my in-laws lived. This pond is near Olympia, the capital of Washington State. The lily pads look like lace to me, so the title is a play on words. This piece was accepted in the Edmonds Art Festivals’ juried art show.
